The live communications industry, like so many others, is undergoing a digital transformation. The first step in the digital transformation of live communication was taken 5 years ago at WWM with the introduction of the myWWM software. The new version of the software, with the unique Business Intelligence module as a consistent second step, was worth the BEST OF 2017 certificate to the jury of the Innovation Award IT from the Initiative Mittelstand.
The new, innovative business intelligence module, which for the first time allows users to analyze the performance of their trade fairs and events on a KPI basis, is the second step in the digital revolution in the history of WWM. As a data basis, myWWM Event Metrics is used for the simple, automatic and data protection-compliant recording of visitors, their dwell time and behavior at the customer's trade fair stand. Valuable insides for neutral evaluation and optimization of live communication. The trade fair visitors can be reached by retargeting via the online channels (Facebook and Google Display Network) with messages about products or invitations to upcoming events without the usual wastage.
In addition to the advantages of the scalability and flexibility of the myWWM software and the immense time savings for event managers, the consistent and innovative further development of the software was the decisive factor. WWM originally started as a classic exhibition stand builder and arrived in the IT environment with innovative and process-optimized software. The certificate BEST OF 2017 and finalist in the category "On Demand", at the Innovation Award IT of the Initiative Mittelstand, is clear evidence of this.
To accelerate the in-house development of the new version of the event resource management software myWWM, the WWM Lab was opened at the Monschau site in August 2016. At the same time, the exhibition stand construction business was outsourced as spin-off RocketExpo (www.rocketexpo.de). Two entrepreneurial steps to consistently accelerate the digital transformation of WWM. The Lab, the ideal nucleus and playground for the agile further development of the software, completed the first software release after only six months. WWM feels responsible for the trade fair success of its customers and this already starts with the planning and organization with the myWWM software. Thus, in addition to the general improvement of usability and process optimization, many customer requests were realized. This agile and cloud-based approach of WWM was even praised by Microsoft as best practice.
In the summer of 2016, the Digital HUB Aachen was founded with the goal of advancing the digitization of the region with synergy effects from the digital economy (enabler), small and medium-sized businesses (user), as well as the city region and science (supporter). With years of experience in the field of digital transformation and as a digital trendsetter in the live communications industry, WWM is a founding member and supporter of the first hour. The economic development of the Aachen region, as well as the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, have recently supported WWM in the development of the new service hub in Alsdorf, thus enabling the sustainable growth of the solution.
